'Sidedishes other than Dal /Subzis' Roundup

Mere procrastination combined with million other things of my mundane life has resulted in this delayed posting of Side dishes round up. I thank immensely all my friends who have sent in their lip smacking and some very unusual / interesting dishes for this event and hope that they still remember about their entries. :) Also accept my apologies for the delay.
I had previously hosted an event on Indian style dals and events on side dishes happened many times in the blogosphere. To avoid the redundancy, I tried to focus on other side dishes in the Indian cuisine and called the event 'Side dishes other than dals / subzis'. As usual, I seemed to confuse many and no matter what, I still got subzi/dal entries. I said 'no' to those entries at the beginning and  finally gave up thinking what the heck if one has more choices while searching for side dishes over this www world. :)
